A Visit to the Soup Kitchen

The Sault Community Career Centre was thrilled to present the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen with a $200.00 cheque received as an honorarium from The Story of Luke film shooting that happened recently at the career centre in August this year.

Finding Hope Campaign September 19th and 20th!

On Monday September 19th and Tuesday September 20th the Sault Community Career Centre will be involved in the “Finding Hope Campaign”. For those that have not heard of it, the “Finding Hope Campaign” is to raise awareness and funds about breast cancer. There will be a doll, Hope, here on the days indicated above with item to be purchased for those who would like to support, staff and customers.

Taking Back the Night – September 22, 2011

Phoenix Rising Women’s Centre and Women 4 Social Justice will be hosting Take Back the Night march on Thursday September 22, 2011 at 6:30. The march will start at Phoenix Rising 621 Albert Street East and continue along Queen Street to Roberta Bondar Pavilion where there will be light refreshments and entertainment offered. Everyone is welcome to attend this very important event that raises awareness toward ending violence against women.
