SUMMER 2017

Job Description

This position reports to the Events Manager for the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie
Position starts: May 29, 2017
Duration: 315 hours (9 weeks @ 35 hrs per week)
Must be available July 13, 14 and 15, 2017
Wages:  $11.40/hr

For young people aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year

  1. General Office Administration
    1. answering phone
    2. mail
    3. correspondence with committee chairpersons
  2. Marketing
    1. poster distribution
    2. brochure distribution
    3. reader boards
    4. day care/youth program promotion
  3. Festival Membership
    1. sales invoicing
    2. preparation/delivery of benefit packages
  4. Activity Facilitation
    1. children’s area – assist chairperson in ensuring success of all events, may include recruitment of organizations, inventorying/ordering supplies, requesting donation of supplies and set up
    2. children’s area – recruitment and supervision of volunteers
    3. parade – creation/distribution of application/information sheets
    4. parade – creation of parade TV hosts’ information on entries
    5. assist the Events Manager in recruiting and executing new entertainment initiatives
    6. Easter Seals families – midway pass distribution
    7. Colour Run – assist Chairperson in organizing this event
  5. Keep a daily log of activities and complete a program report by the last day of employment.
  6. General assistance to all committee chairpersons and the Co-Chairs of ROTARYFEST
  7. Other work as assigned by the Events Manager
