Weed Man

Sales Coordinator

  • Sales and/or marketing experience an asset
  • Candidate must be flexible and willing to work evenings and Saturdays
  • Candidate must be independent, self-motivated and responsible, with the initiative to make cold calls, offer quotes and follow up on interested customers
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable delivering a sales pitch in a compelling and persuasive way
  • Candidate must be able to work well with others
  • Candidate must be presentable, friendly, respectful and able to establish trust with customers
  • Candidate must be goal-oriented and able to lead a team towards targets and objectives, as they may be asked to supervise the marketing team
  • Candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, able to follow directions
  • Part-time with the possibility of leading to full-time

Technician

  • Candidate must be in good health and be comfortable completing a number of physically demanding tasks and working out of door for extended periods of time
  • Candidate must be presentable, friendly, respectful, responsible and trustworthy
  • Candidate must have a clean criminal background
  • Candidate must be flexible and dependable; must be willing and available to work long hours and at all times (including evenings and Saturdays)
  • Candidate must have a Class G Driver’s license
  • Candidate must be team-player and work well with others
  • Candidate must have good communication skills, in particular written skills to complete work orders legibly
  • Candidate must be able to follow directions, learn quickly and pay attention to details
  • Seasonal, flexible schedule from mid-April to approximately mid-October

Grand Gardens

Servers

  • 2-3 full-time and 8 part-time
  • Candidate must have Smart Serve or complete Smart Serve training through the Sault Community Career Centre immediately upon hire
  • Candidates must be flexible and available to work evenings and weekends

(Some shifts involve late hours, as well.)

  • Some experience may be an asset but a willingness and openness to learn is most important
  • Candidates must be coordinated and comfortable with a number of physically demanding tasks (lifting, carrying etc.)
  • Candidate must friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing; they must be capable of providing outstanding customer service
  • Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills
  • Wages will be discussed upon successful completion of application process but all servers collect gratuities
  • Driver’s license is an asset, not a requirement

Porter

  • Part-time position with shifts in the early morning, daytime
  • Candidate must be mature and responsible. They are trustworthy, and able to work independently / without supervision
  • Candidates must be comfortable performing a number of physically demanding tasks (lifting, carrying etc.)
  • Candidate must possess a Class G Driver’s license to operate company vehicle

Cooks

  • 1 full-time and 2 part-time
  • Candidate for the full-time position must have experience. (Experience is not required for the part-time positions but will be considered an asset)
  • Candidates must have WHMIS training and Safe Food Handler Certification. They must have a strong grasp of cooking temperatures, safe food storage and general food safety regulations.
  • Candidates must be able to stay calm, focused and work quickly – without sacrificing quality or safety – in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must be flexible and capable of working rotating hours
  • Individuals who have creative ideas for dishes – and who can show how to reproduce their innovative recipes for a large crowd – are particularly sought
  • Candidates must be able to keep a clean and organized workspace, maintain a professional and respectful attitude and work well with others in close quarters

Front Counter Help - Canteen

  • 7am – 3pm and 11am – 7pm shifts available at two different locations (Takeout Area at Grand Gardens North and at the canteen in Tenaris)
  • Candidate has experience with lunch and breakfast items
  • Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills: a professional, outgoing and courteous demeanor
  • Candidate has strong organization and communication skills in order to work fluidly with kitchen staff and accurately take orders from customers
  • Candidate must be able to work independently and without supervision
  • Candidate must be trustworthy and reliable
  • Because this position involves the handling of cash, candidate must be willing to submit a police background check to employer

Bartender

  • Candidate must have Smart Serve or complete Smart Serve training through the Sault Community Career Centre immediately upon hire
  • Ideal candidate is mature, is an established professional in the field, and has a strong record of experience behind the bar
  • Candidate is capable of managing a crowd
  • Employer is particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate creativity and flair
  • Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills: a professional, outgoing and courteous demeanor
  • Candidate is able to work independently and without supervision
  • Candidate must be trustworthy and reliable
  • Because this position involves the handling of cash, candidate must be willing to submit a police background check to employer

Soo Tree Experts

Technician / Tree Climber

  • Candidate has experience as a tree climber or is willing to learn the skill
  • Candidate has experience with and certification for chainsaw use
  • Candidate must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors
  • Candidate has a valid Class G driver’s license
  • Candidate is responsible, trustworthy, reliable and hardworking
  • Candidate follows instructions well and pays attention to detail
