Lunch and Learn Series for Newcomers to Canada

New to the Sault, a program of the Sault Community Career Centre, and in partnership with Professions North/Nord, have created the Lunch and Learn Series. These series are a set of networking sessions for Newcomers to Canada to understand from a Canadian employer’s perspective their hiring practices as well as their experience hiring Newcomers in their sector. Newcomers will experience a light lunch while hearing stories and knowledge from a featured employer and will be given an opportunity to ask questions after the employer’s speech.

There is no cost to the Lunch and Learn Series but registration is required.

Stepping Stones is a music education program aimed at pre-school aged children to those 6 years old. Each session is 10 weeks and is hosted on Saturday mornings at the Sault Community Career Centre on Queen Street East. The cost is $125 for the entire 10 week program.

Stepping Stones is run by the qualified instructors through the Sault Symphony School of Music. It is a top-notch program that will have children learning how to share, sing, play instruments, problem solve, communicate and so much more.
